Supplies
Vintage Books (one per per table)
Acrylic Paint (one color per table or create them all in the same shade)
Paint Brushes
Sanding Sponge - Medium Grit
Pencil
Step One
Paint the entire cover of the vintage book in a thin coat of acrylic paint. Be careful to lightly cover the turned edges of the book.
Step Two
Using a medium grit sanding sponge rub the book along its edges and curves giving it a nice distressed, old worn appearance. Lightly go over the front & back cover.
Step Three
Write your table number on the front cover in pencil. Using a thinner paint brush so you have more control, go over the table number in contrasting acrylic paint.
Step Four
Repeat these steps for all of your table number books. You can use different colors for each book or keep them all uniformed and in the same color; whichever you prefer.
The Final Design
These darling vintage book table numbers will accent an array of wedding themes including vintage, shabby chic, rustic chic, traditional, old Hollywood, traveling, - think how fun for a nerdy chic wedding! So many other fabulous ideas can flow from this main concept!
**This is a budget friendly project - You can easily find old books at thrift stores or estate sales usually ranging under $1.00 each. Acrylic paint is very inexpensive as well. To create 20 table numbers this project should cost under $30.00
